Jari’s father was a screen printer. Endless parade of new colors and surfaces was pouring out of the process. As a child, Jari could stare at these creations, each a unique new universe, for hours and hours. Today, his paintings reflect this hypnotic experience of childhood.
There is an ideological reason behind Jari’s abstract way of painting. Figurative art and familiar concepts within conceal the core of the emotional impact of an event. There are norms, rules, and values connected with recognizable objects. Therefore, Jari's mission is to portray the world as it is, under the surface of the apparent reality.
